This was a very nice day for a wedding, the day started off with the possibility we would not make it to the shoot – when we got to Camp Pendleton we were met my base security and told we were trying to enter a secure part of the base and needed permission or escort to the venue. We were told to turn around and take long trip around to gain entrance through the front gate and be two hours late, after explaining our circumstances the guard used good common sense and let us in. We made it to the event early and very thankful we were not delayed. The wedding went off without a hitch and was very fun to shoot. I want to thank my fellow photographer Peter Geo for the invitation to co-shoot this wonderful wedding! The full portfolio can be viewed at my website
This has to be one of the best photo shoots I was part of and one of the hardest to photograph. Mark Vasquez was a Manhatten Beach Police Officer who succumbed to Myeloma cancer at the young age of 36 leaving behind his lovely wife Lee and there two beautiful daughters and grieving Father and family. The event was attended by hundreds of Police Officers, friends and family and was very moving. The event was met with tragedy unfortunately when a Garden Grove Police officer Andrew Garton was killed in the funeral procession.
If you would like to donate money to fight Myeloma Cancer you can go directly to there website to make a donation to the Institute for Myeloma & Bone Cancer Research. My photos also were published by Easy Reader News. Mark and Andrew will always be in our memories for the service and sacrafice they made to the communities they serviced.
Had the pleasure of shooting a Tara at the Riverside Botanical Gardens. It was fun shooting with Tara, and we captured some great pictures from the day at the park. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I did shooting them.
I had the recent pleasure of taking pictures of Mary Lou, she commissioned me to take pictures of her sister’s kids as a mothers day present. We had a great time at the Riverside Botanical Gardens, except for the parking ticket…. (was dismissed lack of evidence, lol). Here is some pictures for your enjoyment.
On April 16, 2011 my organization “Portraits for Humanity” had the pleasure to photograph the Special Olympics held in Fontana, CA. This was a great event and I had a wonderful time meeting the athletes and their families – I can not think of a better way to spend a wonderful Saturday. I spend 5 hours in the sun and it was worth every second of my time. I can’t wait to the next event to cover. Please click link for video collage

A great comedian friend of mine Gayla Johnson a very well know comic hired me again to take some shots of her performance. While I was there I took the wonderful opportunity to photograph a host of young upcoming talent. The Contagious Comedy is set up by another friend and wonderful comedian Romarick “B1” Anderson. The special guest performer was Rob Stapleton a very talented comedian. I must say this was probably the best show I have attended at the Improv. Check it out the first Tuesday of every month at the world famous “Improv” in Ontario, CA To see other comedy club photos you can see them at http://www.californiapixels.com

Had the pleasure today to do a sports shoot for the team Whittier Kaos – I want to thank John Beruman the team manager for the invite to cover the game. This was games one and two for the two day tournament, these young guys really played with spirit and finesse. Good news was the team won both games that day. Considering I had too shot quite a few shots through a chain link fencing they came out very nice. Thank you team Whittier Kaos! www.whittierkaos.com The remainder for the pictures can be viewed at www.californiapixels.com
What a great couple and anniversary celebration in Riverside. Brian and Irma hit the 25 year anniversary mark and renewed their vows. There was plenty of good food, family friends and love – and to top off the event the Bride and Groom rode into the sunset on Brian’s other women his Custom Harley! All kidding aside this couple is extremely devoted to each other. I hope you enjoy some of the same pictures – the full set is at www.californiapixels.com
