Portraits for Humanity – Special Olympics

On April 16, 2011 my organization “Portraits for Humanity” had the pleasure to photograph the Special Olympics held in Fontana, CA.  This was a great event and I had a wonderful time meeting the athletes and their families – I can not think of a better way to spend a wonderful Saturday.  I spend 5 hours in the sun and it was worth every second of my time.  I can’t wait to the next event to cover.   Please click link for video collage

I want to thank my dearest  friend Sydnie George for getting me involved with the Disabled and there special needs – Sydnie is a Senior Case Manager at http://www.oparc.org/ and is a advocate for the disabled.  OPARC plays a key role in training and employing the disalbed so they can lead a productive lives.  I encourage all my readers to open your hearts and checkbooks to help fund valuable programs like this.     You can see more pictures at www.californiapixels.com

Portraits for Humanity – Guardian Foundation “Fulfill A Child’s Wish”

Just finished a shoot for the Guardian Foundation who was hosting a charity event Fulfill A Child’s Wish.  It was a wonderful event hosted at the Historic Burrage Mansion in Redlands, CA.  This event was to help local under privileged children and was hosted by Darnelle Mason the head of the Guardian Foundation http://www.guardiansite.org.  There were plenty of Christmas Goodies for everyone to enjoy and there was live music, Irish Dancers, and some Circus acts to round up the entertainiment.  At the end of the events the kids got Christmas Presents.  Thank you to everyone for allowing me to photograph the event.  The rest of the pictures here www.californiapixels.com

Mountain Shoot with Sylvia Curtis

My dear friend Sylvia Curtis from work asked me to take her pictures today.  Today’s shoot was at one location and we managed to capture a few nice pictures.  I must say some of our local scenery is breathtaking and I enjoyed shooting her at this location of Hwy 138.  I enjoyed her warm friendly personality and would love to do more pictures, maybe more outdoors and some studio shots.   Sylvia, just wanted some nice pictures to give to her kids – I hope they enjoy them.

Equipment Used:  Nikon D700,  Nikon 80-200 f2.8, Nikon SB900, Nikon SB800 (hairlight), Lumodi Beauty Dish, Pocket Wizards
